Download and installation tips
What type of file is used for downloaded software?
- The software is provided as a self-extracting compressed file
(file name extension .exe). You do not need special software to extract
(uncompress) this file.
- After downloading and extracting the compressed files, you can install
it on the PC.
Install from the folder to which you download the software. After extracting,
double-click setup.exe to start installation.
1) Prepare to Download Software
- Create a temporary folder before downloading the Valve Sizing software
on your PC's hard disk. This temporary folder will contain the downloaded
file(s). Example: Under the c:\temp or c:\windows\temp folder, create
a subfolder named \ValveSizingInstall.
- Click the link Download Software link below
- Verify that the Save As dialog box points to the folder you prepared
for downloaded software. If not, change to the correct folder. Then
click Save.
Note: Downloading
software can take several minutes, depending on the size of the file and
the speed of your connection.
2) Extract Software Files
Uncompress
downloaded .exe file
- Start Windows Explorer
- View the contents of the folder to which you downloaded the software
(for example, c:\temp\valvesizinginstall
- Double-click the name of the .exe file you downloaded.
- In the Win-Zip Self Extractor window, click Unzip
- Click OK, then click Close.
3) Prepare to Install
- Double-click the file setup.exe in the folder to which you
downloaded the software.
- Follow the onscreen prompts.
